Family Home Evening (Part 2 of 4)

Our church leaders asked us to hold Family Home Evening to build greater bonds of love between ourselves. It sure worked in our family. A typical Family Hour went something like this one did.
Dad devised a rotation system for making assignments. The first week you were in charge, the next week you gave the lesson, and then the next week you got to be the one to fix refreshments. After that
you waited your turn until we went through the whole family and you were in charge again. One week Dad was in charge.
For about fifteen minutes before, Dad had been getting ready. He checked with Mom who was in the back room quietly preparing the lesson, then he asked children to help with the program. Who would give the opening prayer? The closing? Who would lead the music?
Then Vera came to him. “Dad, I have a play to do on the program.”
“What play is it?”
“It’s called the Church Mouse.”
“How long is it?”
“It will just take a few minutes.”
‘‘Okay.”
