The first week we practiced, I hated it. The girls stood in a circle while the boys formed another circle around them. We spent some time learning the choreography. Oh there was plenty of hand clapping, shuffle steps, turns and twists, as well as holding the nearest girl’s hand. Not only was it hard dancing with the girls, but everyone learned the dance moves faster and better than I did. Any way, I hated the dance we were supposed to do. Then someone turned on the music we were going to dance to.
Sug-ar.
(Bum Bum BumBum Bum Bum.)
Ahh, Honey honey.
(Bum bum BumBum Bum Bum.)
You are my candy girl....
That was my answer. I could get out of the dance on moral convictions. The music was Rock ‘n Roll.
