Christmas At Grandpa’s (Part 4 of 7)

After dinner we gathered into the living room. What a sight! We sprawled all over the room, on chairs, on the couch, on the floor, on the hearth of the fireplace. Grandpa had six children and Grandma Winnie brought two children into the marriage. These represented a lot of spouses and grandchildren. Most of them were there.
We sang Christmas carols, talked about what we were doing, and reminisced in general. Then while we were singing about Santa Claus, who should burst into the room, but Santa Claus himself. And what was even more surprising, Mrs. Claus was there too!

The kids were so excited. I looked at Grandpa. He was beaming with happiness to see how much fun he had provided for his grandchildren. Santa didn’t waste any time, he knew he had a big group to deal with. Someone gave him a chair and he went

straight to his work interviewing each grandchild. He asked what each one wanted for Christmas. When he was done, the child jumped off his lap and Mrs. Claus handed them a stocking full of goodies.
